One thing to remember it you may be just simply running out of hull. That boat above 80 would be scary.... and I wouldnt want to run it trimmed too far out. Your main difference in that boat should be mid range and not top end. 0-75 in a few less seconds is priceless and I would doubt you will run WOT much during the summer anyways... too rough.
The mid range difference is huge. I trimmed it out some to what looked like a 10-20' tail on Saturday, and the boat was rock solid. It is hard to judge the tail size when you can just glance back every now and then. It didn't do anything funny. Maybe I could trim her a bit more and see what happens. I need to adjust the trim sender more. Brad had to put a new one on, and it needs some adjustment. As it sits, with the drive all the way down, the needle is well below the down mark on the gauge. As I bring it up, it just was barely registering. I need to adjust that and get it right so I can have a better idea of where the trim is good and where it isn't.

Definitely not much WOT during the summer here. Especially with my wife in the boat!

I'd love to give it a shot if you don't mind. I'm planning on coming down on Saturday unless the weather is bad. I think I may have Brad (the engine builder) with me to go over some things too. I do think it would be a big help to have him in the boat when testing.

At 72.5, I had just broken 5000 rpm. I still think there's a ton of slip in the 3 blade labbed 25.

You need a 4 blader. Toss that other one and dont ever put it back on.... sell it today and start with the 4B. Your tail may be too small. Trim it up very slowly until she starts to get loose a bit, you will feel it run squirrely and start to walk, trim her back in. You will feel it get loose for sure. You will be able to trim more with a 4 as well I think. It will run like a different boat.

How many rpms do you want to turn?

Peak HP is at 5200 even. I'd say we're shooting for that or 5300.

Sorry Josh, I updated on my Superboat thread. The 28P Mach I think may have had a little too much work done on her. I ran it and turned over 5200 rpm, but only saw a best of 68 mph. The hydromotive we weren't able to run because I needed a washer that I didn't get when I picked them up from Greg?

My 25P Mirage Plus still worked the best at 74.7 @ 5400 rpm. We are still thinking a 28P Bravo one is going to give us the numbers.

We need to set up a time to meet so I can get these back to you.

Thanks!
