very cool video, it was a hell of an afternoon for sure, the winds ended up calming down a little and made for some nice runs without all the damn Ski's.those guys scare the hell out of me!

I need to get some footage BLee of you running next to us again like last year so i can make a video of that. Boat looked amazing.

Oh i have some footage of us about to run over two skis that all of a sudden decided to turn in front of us and do a donut!

After that run I woulda hung a right and got a burger. Can't remember the name of the place but it was good.

We were hoping she would hit the water blown this year so we could flirt in the triple digits, but were stuck in the mid
80's for the rest of the summer!

Moonie's, and yeah, they were great. I don't think they serve anymore though. :(

Count me in.. Ill be at the lake around 11 (boat shopping for my folks) so save me a seat!

The decks has been torn down and completely rebuilt as "Twists". A sister location to "Oliver's Twist" in Tulsa. Great food, good docks and views but not much of a "bar" spot.. Uglys seems to be doing well this year, lots of newcomers.. I still want to make it up towards the island and check out Island Joes. Ive heard its a LOT of fun this year.

The drinks are great there, but the food is just terrible at Island Joes, terrible. :readinghelp:

Considering that it is lake food (Burgers, fries, and such), I think that the food is fine. Has your food been bad more than once? I usually eat there every weekend, and haven't had any bad experiences with the food. Kenny and Tina Smith do a good job at running the place, and if you have had a bad experience with the food, they would appreciate your feedback. I will agree with you that the drinks are great, and can make for a fun boat ride home..:drink:

Damn, if I wasn't doing the Miami/Bimini gig tomorrow I'd fly out. Have an extra(or 5) for me. :drink:

Unfortunately, yes, my food experience has been consistently bad. I have asked others as well, thinking it was likely just bad luck on my part, but there are others that weren't impressed.

I haven't tried it this year, but will. It's a fun run up there, great view, & drinks. The people that run the place are always fun to sit at the bar with. :drink:

Its good to hear that you will give it another shot. I know that last year was their first year to run the place, and they had a few kinks that needed to be worked out. So far, I haven't had any issues this year. You are also right about it being a great view and a cool place to park the boat, sit around the bar and drink. I wish there were more places like it, as I prefer to go to the lake and party at places on the water, rather than sit in a dark club (Big Shots). And the problem with Uglys for anyone that doesn't live in Duck Creek, is it takes forever to get there esp. with the "no wake" deal.
