Patience grasshopper:cool-smiley-027: You'll have to buy the magazine for the "good" shots:p And there are some GOOD shots:ernaehrung004:

On the speeds, the Gladiator was hauling, and the cats were 60-70 most of the time.

satisfactionII 07-21-2009 08:55 PM

Awesome pics, :ernaehrung004:., of a lot of cool boats.

How fast were the cigs going? I have stelling ext. boxes on my 353, and when I get around 80, the boat sometimes acts like it wants to walk a little. What speed would you recommend for my 353, in order to get the best air, and not kill myself in the process?:ernaehrung004:

craig68 07-21-2009 09:14 PM

Bummed

Man I was at the lake and went by the photo shoot in my Cruisers 415. I thought the shoot was at Noon and missed the update. I had already put the cat up for the day. It looked like a hell of allot of fun and I am totally bummed I missed it.
Since there are no other DCBs on Grand,:eekdrop: I would have loved to get my little Mach F-29 in the group. Hope I can make the next photo shoot.

Totally in awe of the rad AIR you guys were getting

Rock ON!!!

Yeah, after a few times, it was better to just gun it up the middle and hit the 2nd wave. We were over 100 hitting the 2nd-3rd wave on a few when the Carver was at the right RPM's. We hit 115ish coming up the back from probably a mile or just less out. We did hit it at speeds under 100 the majority of the time. The water was perfect all around it.:musik010::drink:

Gotta send out a special thank you to one of my favorite people. :ernaehrung004:

Jim Lee graciously allowed us to use his house at Grand Lake as H2O Headquarters for the weekend. Very cool, and very convenient, it really made our job a lot easier.

Thanks again, brother! Looking forward to our next meeting.

Dennis Poole has put up the current top number. His is the solid white 36 Classic Deck Skater. I believe he ran 162 in the 1 mile Shootout, and I think it's been 170ish out on open water.

During the photo shoot we went by and grabbed Paul Iser and took him for a ride it was about noon on Saturday so the lake was pretty busy, but we wanted to show him the acceleration the boat had, so I took it up to 158 mph but it was too rough to go any faster without out having a reason too, and I don't think anyone else went any faster then that over the weekend..
So that weekend dennis probably had the fastest one, but here soon Paul will have his cat and it will be a different ball game on this lake..

TexomaPowerboater 07-23-2009 09:29 PM

You are talking about dennis then put that picture up, If that is a picture of dennis next to his motors then I need some of that just for men hair treatment that he must be using.

That's Dennis' Stunt double. He does stand in work for all the tough stuff. Things like close ups, and engine building! The stunt double never understands why he's not in action in other dangerous areas like the bedroom though.:evilb:
