At least the State's Attourney understands that the Coast Gaurd is out of line on the Chain. They dropped the charges and our case was dismissed earlier this month!! :drink:

At Northpoint they do saftey checks all the time. However, once you pass they leave you alone for the rest of the year. Is this not the case on the chain?

I have no issue with getting inspected once, but > than that is not right, unless you are doing something wrong.

Most of us have Vessel Safety Inspection stickers from being inspected by Bruce or the Coast Gaurd. Yet they still use the excuse of a Vessel Safety Check when they just want to stop and/or harass you.

It is getting totally out of control. Not only that, but they are arrogant and ignorant. When they took me in, they didn't know what lake they were on or where the Lake Co. Sheriff's trailer was located. It was somewhat humorous.

It is my understanding that they do not get along with the Lake Co Sherriff and from the State's Attorneys conversation with me, the courts are getting tired of their frivolous ticket writing.

I don't drink when I go to Blarney's on thurs nights. When we go under grass lake road bridge they are always there watching us with their night vision binocs. Once my buddy dropped his shorts because he was wasted. I know they saw it and were probably too embarrassed because we knew they had the binocs on us!!

Most of the Lake County guys are decent. It's the children or Coast Gaurd as they are called casuing the problems.

If I am stopped while driving, I will not have been drinking and then the fun will really begin!! I may just get a wrap that says "F - Off CG" for the side of my boat.

Let's see, Konrad Drive + 850 HP + me driving = one hell of a chase through the lakes and channels! :D
