Best Small Lakes ?

Outside of the Chain and Lake Geneva, which small lakes do you guys hit for a one-day outing? What has decent launch ramps in the area?

Twin Lakes, Lake Mendota (Madison), Lake Zurich, Como, Crystal Lake...

If all goes well, we will move out of our 40 Hustler and have something smaller (25-27'). I know many of the small lakes are boring, but something close to us (Lincolnshire) for a few hours on a weekday evening would be fun for the kids.

Thanks!

All the lakes you mentioned are alright for pontonns and ski boats. The chain is the only one big enough for 24'-27'.
