72 degrees . . . who is ready??

I have to finish hooking up water, new gauges and fire it up.

Brad Z has at least one engine to install yet.

Mike L has to learn how to drive a true race boat.

Tom T needs to hire someone to drive a real boat.

Tom B has to start from scratch on the same boat!!??

Anyone I forgot with new stuff???

Summer is almost here!:evilb: BE READY!

flatlander 03-14-2007 11:06 AM

i have to wipe the bird poop off. add gas

Brad Zastrow 03-14-2007 02:56 PM

Actually I have three engines to install. The MTI is sans power. The minvan will have the other engine in this weekend. I have been moving trim pumps around to make room for the tailpipes that will exit the transom instead of the deck. The minivan needs tailpipes, shorter driveshafts and painting the new hatches.

Elite Marine 03-14-2007 05:02 PM

How about some pictures of this "Minivan"?? :rolleyes

Elite Marine 03-14-2007 05:03 PM

Flatlander, I thought you just leave the bird poop on all year!

Elite Marine 03-14-2007 07:37 PM

Now I'm gettting anxious. I hope to be ready to fire it up by next weekend!!

Downtown42 03-15-2007 09:04 AM

28* here this morning...I'll say hi to mine in her heated storage. :D

organizedchaos 03-15-2007 10:14 PM

I did hire someone to tow my boat for me. As far as driving the boat, watch out...Rose is picking up speed!!!!!! I think that your learning curve may require more of a hired gun than mine. Forget about boating lessons, I have a buddy that is a Top Gun Instructor. That would be a good start!!!!!

Will we see you at the Grand Geneva this weekend?

Elite Marine 03-16-2007 07:53 AM

Yes - I am everywhere!!!

Could everyone send Brad their cell phone numbers just in case his underwater exhaust should fail?!

Brad won't be in by then so no need!!!

chaineddown 03-29-2007 08:59 PM

If it gets over 70 again and the lake is open, I'm going.
My truck was in the shop last Monday or I would of splashed it already.

Elite Marine 03-29-2007 09:05 PM

Someone thought the lake was open...he has a canopied Fountain

Brad Zastrow 03-29-2007 10:09 PM

I only need tailpipes and the minivan will be ready to rock and roll. I will get my extra long bunge cord and tie my transom to your Pantera bow eye. This way you will be able to keep up. :p :p :p

ZeroDiscipline 03-30-2007 06:08 PM

Yea, But then he'll say the Pantera's been over 100 mph D'oh !!

Elite Marine 03-31-2007 09:07 AM

It is not about speed. It is about a reasonable cruise at a low RPM.

You guys with all your fancy blowers, race boats, cats etc.....

Can't you just enjoy a nice moderate boat ride on a nice warm sunny day?

By the way, my family boat is almost complete.

Drive is on and engine is in. Only two more hydraulic lines and the custom tails from CMI to complete it.

Downtown42 04-02-2007 08:57 AM

looks mean. How fast do you think WOT?:D

flatlander 04-02-2007 10:48 AM

Elite Marine 04-02-2007 11:58 AM

flatlander 04-03-2007 01:01 PM

I have no interest in speed. Speed is for punks that have nothing else to offer.

Unless Stecz is a 19-22 year old little blonde (female) vixen...I did not, at least not last night! :p

chaineddown 04-09-2007 10:39 PM

That's the first time I've heard a boy refered to as a vixen.

Elite Marine 04-17-2007 07:43 PM

My tails were all messed up thanks to my poor dimensions and a few bizarre angles.

I have now mocked up PVC tails for CMI to fabricate. Hopefully they can turn them fast.

I was considering the Sport Tubes...but had issues with the IAC controller on the Whipple.

Look awesome though!!!!

I love the look of the sport tubes. Hopefully you will be on the water real soon. I think this weekend it going to be nice, so i plan to make a little noise on a shakedown run.

Here are the tailpipe tips installed below the waterline.

Elite Marine 04-18-2007 05:32 PM

I hope you used new hoses and not something you had laying around the shop like an old outboard mechanic we know!!

Elite Marine 04-29-2007 08:07 PM

Hatch and ram is completed!!

Just waiting on my tails from CMI.

Brad - The Skater is scary quiet!! I couldn't even hear it today when I was passing you in the Four Winns

Boat looks good running.

Brad Zastrow 04-30-2007 03:30 PM

I had you on GPS at 54.6 mph. You were laughing and Angel had a deathgrip on the boys while that boat was bouncing around in the big water. Next time I will be faster......

Elite Marine 04-30-2007 09:00 PM

I only drag race!! :evilb:

Next time I'll be alone...you don't stand a chance!
