He isn't the only one. Mike L got stopped again Thurs for noise.

You guys either need mufflers or down turns. I know of a great source for CMI Products!!

I think the 75 db is the operational test, which they have absolutely no way of administering on the Chain.

Not just the blue boat

The blue canopy was not the sole person to bring this on. He had alook alike that contributed too.

Any of us with loud exhaust (myself included) should watch what we do on the river. I no longer fly down the river because I know all eyes and ears are watching all of us now.

Go slow down the river--pass it along !!!!

Smitty 07-03-2007 03:49 PM

I am looking into turn downs for my boat. If I have to put mufflers on it I will also put a "for sale" sign on it

I have heard from a good source that they are having trouble with the db readings because of all the background noise,(chain saws airplanes, road noise etc.) up there. There are numerous complaints from homeowners on the river about all the loud boats. The enforcement officers are just trying to pacify everyone, property owners and boaters alike. Those lakes are small and the size and speed of the all the new boats out now are freaking out people who don't and can't understand. I have heard that someone in a cat w/big drives sprayed down the rt.120 bridg with a rooster tail and knocked someone off their motorcycle. Is this really true? Good luck with the noise issues, even a buddies Crownline 21 has a switchable exhaust and he runs it up there.

I doubt it was on Route 120. That whole stretch is a no wake zone. Unless he did it anyways which is possible. We have our share of goofs here too.
