slow down there cfisher. I'm sure that post was not meant for you but 9 times out of 10 it is the few residents that live along the water that complain and cause all of this nonsense and in my case as well. The man that was doing all the complaining is a gd hermit and contributes to our town as little as possible, his yard and home are a disaster. If people like that would spend a little more time looking at themselves and worrying less about what others are doing then we would all be a lot better off.

I agree on taking away from the looks. The PVC looks like crap hanging off expensive boats. I think people just don't wan't to spend any money. Gibson makes the 90deg. stainless polished turn downs for under $500. At least those look nice.

Brandon,
Where are you from? You had a post about a cig for sale on craigslist and it was deleted. I believe you live on hickory in spring lake, MI and just purchased the boat. Once you see my reference post at the bottom (if you are the same guy) you will know who I am. Maybe you did not read this whole post. I have been pulled over and ticketed several times over the years. My boat is fairly easy to notice. Since I am out 1-2 times during the week and every fri.-Sun. They know me by name. If you Are from spring lake (which I suspect you are) you would know that if you are pulled over and do not pass, you will be sent to your trailer and have to prove you fixed it. If your boat blends in you will be lucky and get away with it the next time assuming you pass. If you don't pass you will again be sited. Lets say your not lucky and get puller over a third time. You will receive a letter from judge Kloote (Ottawa county) to appear in court. At that time they will suspend your boating privileges in MI. No flex pipe here. I made, along with most other parts on my boat, Switch able stainless mufflers that are powder coated to match the other 190 parts. They are manually switched and pass at 82-86db. (depending how close they hold the meter) When open they are straight through at 113db. The best part is they don't look like a muffler hanging off the back. Other parts I made are the 13" extension boxes. So its not some hack job. I promise, if you get pulled over a third time you will be headed to court. Since you had/have a cig for sale for 69k, your telling me you can't afford a set of mufflers for 1k. Hell, even if you want to be a man (as you say) you can pull them off after you show the cops. At least you would look good on the water. Sorry it just looks extremely cheap to me. If you are in town for the weekend and need to pass, then by all means do what ya have to do. The only flex SS flex pipes around here are on Tyler's 46 skater and a old 38 flat deck cig. Feel free to view post #533 through #537 to see my mufflers. http://www.speedwake.com/upload/show...&pagenumber=27 So if you are who I think...Stop by for a beer sometime, since you live around the corner. |
Here it is:
http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/boa/599507408.html Looks like the one around the corner from me. Boat is listed in Wisconsin with a location of MI and a 616 area code phone number. Thats why I assume it is near me. Probably 800's or so in it? Should be good for some tickets around here with dry exhaust. What speeds? 82-85... |

I thought that was you. When did you get the cig? It just showed up toward the end of the year. I saw the hatch open a few times and stopped by, but you must have been on a parts run. The boat looks good from the street.
It was probably Dykhouse that got you on Spring lake. He lives right by Coop's party store and hates all loud boats. After the past couple years I have gotten to know them all. Especially since my neighbor is a Ottawa county sheriff. I'm sure I can get it legal. I have spent three years making every kind of muffler you can think of. May just require some water re-routing or modding the tails to get rid of the reversion. When is a good time or day to stop by? |
A little off the subject but not to far. Jenny just signed PA 530a noise law in the state of Michigan for snowmobiles. I am sure there will be many more to come.

Thats funny! I have seen the same thing. I don't think he even uses his personal boat much. I have rarely seen it leave.
Assuming the number in the add was your cell...I will give you a call prior to stopping by. |
