Hedges Rest. in Rochester NY- Hey ROPA!
Does anyone know if the water depth in front of Hedges Restaurant is safe for a 38' boat? I was there Saturday (by land) and the end of the seawall was deep enough to tie off to, but the water beyond it looked like it might be shallow.

I'm gonna assume that you can't get in there, being that no one seems to go there.
|
we were there in a 45 carver for dinner. It was a few years back but thought the same thing at that time. Had no problems.
|
They have docks? I've only seen the small wall to the side of the resturant, and it didn't look there was anything to tie up to.
|
it was a few years ago, (5-6) but yes we tied up and had dinner. There was also people to assist us when pulling in.

Thanks cig92. If I can afford a tank of gas I'll have to take a trip there. Went up another 10 cents today!
Slivings- There are cleats of a sort to tie to on the seawall, actually in the creek. Looked to be 5-6' deep at the end of the wall. Probably needs to be done before the levels start to drop in August. |
Sorry about not replying sooner but I've been trying to find out more info. Unfortunately I couldn't find anyone who's been there for years. I do know some boats go there in high water time and there is supposed to be cleats, but I'm not sure of how safe the channel is or deep.

Thanks!
