BZ, don't forget our boy Andy is from Indiana, he has downed 8 mini Miller Lite's already in the back of the Ford with JJ driving and blocks on the pedals so he can reach them. I can hear him now, Nicki, grab me another beer and JJ, be careful and swing the trailer wide at the turn!!!!!

I was in South Haven last night. I saw a 26' Velocity with some pretty decent power in it and a yellow/gray 302 (???)Formula, but that was about it for performance boats. South Haven had lots of people in town for the festival----people walking everywhere downtown near the river. It was a beautiful evening.

Around 8pm I walked out on the north pier and watched my friend enter in the harbor/jetty with his 32' AT. As he idled in he was about 60 yards or so in the piers and people on a boat and people on the piers wanted him to "Rap" the engines a little...so he did and they all clapped and cheered. BUT, further up river about another 80 yards or so was a Sherriff's marine patrol boat and the officer turned his boat around with his lights on and approached my friend's boat. It was an older Sherriff's Deputy with mostly gray hair and a big guy. Anyway, he told my friend "he felt like had to do something" and Ken asked him "why?----there's all kinds of noise out here right now!" The Sherrif let him off with a warning. It was rediculas in my opinion---but that's just me.

Anyway, take it easy out there guys---don't "rap" on your engines anytime while in the harbor.

That old guys an ass. He harassed us last year for having a water fight on our dingee's. The yellow and gray boat, was it my friend's 311 Formla? He was down there idleing around, breaking in his new power. Sommerfliesby, I saw you in Saugatuk Saturday I think. I was driving the white 357 in the channel. Was going to try and go out to South Haven myself today, but the weather sucked. Anyway I saw someone headed west on 94 with a Fountain 42' (I think) around Benton Harbor at about 2:30.

Yeah that was me Spaz! Myself, BZ, Magic Medicine, and our buddy Scott with a 288 Sunny had a nice run up from SH. Parked the boats and went for lunch at Wally's, then cruised back to the harbor. Kamma...I don't know how you could've missed us...BZ and I were parked right along the walkway. I saw you buddy with the Thunder...that thing sounded AWESOME.

I had an encounter with the same officer when we rolled in from Saugie...he flipped on the rollers and came at me and *****ed me out for buzzing fishing boats! Said he got a couple calls that a red boat was doing close passes. I told him I just got back from my lunch, and that I hadn't seen a fishing boat the entire time. He warned me and let me go. I later found out there was an older 8 meter red Fountain...could've been him?

As for our time at Harborfest...I'd say it was a good one...but I'd be understating HUGELY! Had a freakin' BLAST!
