CASTAWAYS PUTS OUT...Longer Docks
 

Those of us in Saginaw Bay know that getting a long enough dock at Castaway's Bar was always a Crap Shoot...

There now are 5 longer docks for larger boats, vs the single one we had to fight over before. Laurie, the owner, says more are coming as well.

For those not familiar with the Kawkawlin River, it is plenty deep, but you need to stay in the channel approaching the mouth of the river, and be on plane before the channel ends.

Did you injure an engine? I heard there was trouble...

Yep. Dropped valve seats. Messed it up good. I haven't seen Thumper out yet. I hope you having better luck this year

We are now 11 for 11 unfettered boat trips!!!
the boat is just perfect now, too bad I didn't have such a huge desire to upgrade...

Glad to hear that your luck is so good this year. I have a whole 5 hours on it and most is in the no wake in town. Ron at Bay Harbor is takin care of it and carquest on Wilder is going all the machining. Today was a breakthough in the parts search. Pistons and heads we found and ordered. I'll begin gathering parts to build a spare motor and drive. I don't plan to go through this again. There is a silver lining... We have always wanted to move to Florida for the winter, and now that we have lost so much of the boating season we've decided it time to shut up and do it. I'll start a division of Michigan Mudjacking dow there and Chris (she's and RN) will get a travel contract. Come boating with us this winter. The Bahamas are only 45 miles from Miami!
