Mufflers?

My boat has open exhaust, the water flows out, but there are no mufflers. Today I was signing up for a slip, I told the guy that it was loud, he said he thought that I might have to get mufflers. Can this be done? Is there something you can bolt on that makes it quieter? Is this a legal requirement to have in Ontario? I have driven right past marine police and not had a problem. I appreciate any information that you can provide.

Measure your exhaust tips and buy a set of gibson clamp ons. They user friendly and don't sound to bad. The marine may have their own noise rule.

All pleasure boats in Canada require mufflers if the exhaust does not exit under water.
