NEXUS Card???

Anyone from Ontario have one? I was thinking of getting one since I boat most of the time in the St Lawrence River and enjoy hitting the US side for Lunch/sightseeing and stuff like that. I really dont want to carry my passport with me all the time in the boat, so, thought I would get a Nexus card, but, wanted to get some input from others who have gotten one, especially since THEY AIN'T CHEAP!

Thanks!
Michael

My wife and I have one. We drive to Windsor once in a while, and boat fairly frequently on the Canadian side. It's convenient. The only drawback is everyone on your boat is supposed to have one, and if they don't, getting stopped or inspected is still possible. I think it's good for 5 years. I use it, and have found it useful

Hi Jeff and Stevewy!

I usually get an I-68 Permit but am going to get the NEXUS Card this year. Hope to see you guys this summer for the Motor City Can-Am Fun Run.

its worth the $58!!! I68's are $17 are only good for 1 year, plus the toll for the border..$8..... so if u add up the total costs for the 5 years it equals out to be...125US not including gas.... a nexus is $58.... not to mention every customs officer hates to do I68's... jm2c
