stting out there on an open med boat..I understand where your comming from. I have an auto-inflateable and it makes a big difference.

It's a necessary evil....can you imagine what would happen if one of the Cobra Boats was hit by a race boat or took on water on or capsized???? From a rescue persecutive, wearing a PFD gives you a better chance of surviving and gives the rescue crews/divers a greater possibility of saving the victims...Again, imagine searching for bodies in the St. Clair current???? The lack of PFD's would definetly shorten your survival horizon....
