Need a good welder in S.E. Michigan

Anybody know of a good welder in S.E. Michigan? My boat had the bolt on skeg guards when I got it, but I've decided to eliminate them and put on new skegs. I've already purchased the OEM Quicksilver replacements, just need someone to install. Our local marina wants $850 to take off the old ones and install new ones. Just seems a little stiff considering theres no material involved. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I am in North Monroe county and can do it this week.

Mayo welding over in troy. Maybe my buddy will do it. I'll ask him tomorrow. He is in Clawson two houses down from me. Are the drives off?

No, was hoping I did not have to pull them.

Haha. Then I'd hate to see the same bill for the owner of a Nor-Tech!

Already filled out my registration, I'll see you there!

I can ask but it would be a lot easier if the drives were off. Brian41 does nice work but I know its a haul for you.

There's a guy local here in Flint that does awesome work. Delduca's Welding. You'd have to pull the drives though.

I don't know if he's still in business but "Cal's Welding" in Clinton Township (16 Mile and Groesbeck area) did a great job for me repairing a crack in my motorcycle motor after a wreck. It was cast aluminum, and turned out great.
