Where is the launch on west bay? We were just up there thinking it would be fun to bring the boat next time.

The best launch is at Elmwood Park in Greilickville (which is just up M-22 on the east side of west bay heading into the Leelanau Peninsula). It got plenty of room to turn around the biggest rigs, sells ice and is only $5 to launch. No gas there though. The launch at Clinch park is decent, but is usually a clusterf*ck to turn around in and is always busy with tourists, etc. Just go to Elmwood. It's only another 3 miles up the road and much easier.
For anyone visiting the area Sam's club has a huge gas station a few miles south of town. Very easy to pull thru. ed |
