Question Walloon Lake Michigan

Does anyone have any information on boating on Walloon Lake near Petosky? I can't find any info on boat ramps. How big of a boat can be launched. I see a ramp in the Village from a satellite photo, but no parking. Planning a trip up there in July this year.

Thanks,
Shawn

Brand new launch on the north side of lake on the end of Gruler Rd., also updated ramp at Village of Walloon(Limited parking). Boated there growing up, out grew the lake after the 19ft Regal. Awesome lake, super clear waters, great waterskiing lake. If you have a chance you should check it out, Hemingways family cabin is still standing on the west end.

Thanks for the info!
That new ramp doesn't look like it would be the most ideal for me. The Pantera with the TRS draws pretty deep and with the pick-up at the bottom of the vee, it sucks up sand if I get too shallow. The ramp in the Village looks deeper, but it's hard to tell when the water is so clear!
We don't have that problem down in Holland. Our lake is nice and muddy........

Hope to meet you and your gang this summer at Boyne Thunder.

Have a GREAT season!

Look forward to it. You might call Bear Cove Marina on west end of the lake, it has been a long time since putting in there. Wayne knows that lake, he can give you some input.
