Never gonna happen. Boaters are too easy of a target. They figure if you are on a boat, you can afford a ticket. And just like what happened to your friend, they chicken hawk where everybody is going to be at the end of the day.
That's why nobody goes up the Maumee River anymore to the restaurants downtown Toledo. It's a choke point, and they camp out under the bridges either going up-river or back out to the lake and pull over every boat they can as they would leave. Back when I first got my boat about 7 years ago they would be rafted out 5 boats deep on Friday or Saturday night. Now it's dead, maybe a handful on any given weekend.
We got stopped two years ago over Labor Day two days in a row. Same crew stopped us Monday that stopped us Sunday, what a joke.
That being said I did sign the petition.

Thanks. Please try and get this out there. It has to start somewhere. Also, if you could email your stories to your state reps as well. I have contacted the 4 in my county along with Dennis Murray out of Sandusky.

LOL - change.org is now sending me stuff asking me to sign petitions to allow Gays equal access to swimming pools. WTF! LaVita, you got more than one survey runnin' on there?
