Xmas In July...PIB

In about 2 weeks PIB will start filling up for Xmas in July, and we plan on being there. Have the time off and getting the boat ready. We are planning on leaving Tuesday evening and hopefully stopping at the casino on Kelley's for dinner then head over Wednesday morning in hopes of getting right up against the dock for some easy shore power.

Anyone else going? We're leaving Monday just because we don't like to be in a rush leaving Sunday and it's always a little less crowded.

Ill be there thursday morning early, stay till friday night. L.E.O.P.A thunderfest is Saturday So I Won't Be Staying The Whole Weekend. Thurs and Friday seem to be the best days (well I think so anyway) sat is just nuts I don't like waiting 20 min for a drink.

I don't mind crawling the docks for X-Mas in July, but the bars are pure ameture hour. I took the SeaRay last year and it was okay - staying at the Crew's Nest the weekend before this year, going diving the following weekend instead.

I went to X-Mas in July once...... Never again. It is a bunch of drunk punks..... I prefer the non-holiday weekends myself.... But, the entertainment is better on the Holiday weekends. Roundhouse, has a pretty good cover band that plays on the popular holidays, their nname is "the websters" think they are out of Cinn OH. Other than that, it is elbow to elbow a-holes...... I had a pretty good time last weekend at PIB....

Where do you dive? I always wanted to dive in Lake Erie but never have. I haven't been diving in years but wouldn't mind getting out this summer.

No doubt ameture hour, in fact the first year we went up there 3 different dudes hit on my gf. One waited until I went to the bar to get drinks and moved right in. This guy was a beast but there was no way I was putting up with that chit. He was inviting her to a party on A dock and I walked up to him and said will see you tonight seeing we're staying on A dock. Went back to the docks and told a couple guys that we were tied up with and they let me know they had my back if need be, never saw the dude on A dock.

Its crazy at the bars for sure but the people on the docks are much more respectible, thats why we go. And getting there early means we can enjoy the island before it gets crazy.

Not sure what dock we will stay at, prob try for our norm at A but we would like to be right up against the dock for power so we may try the other 2 as well.
