Lot of factors at play. Cousin and Uncle work for the Power Authority that runs the dams up in Northern NY on the St. Lawrence. Long term study going on with trying to find that happy level for Ontario and St. Lawrence that will suffice for the rest of the Great Lakes and Montreal since those bodies of water see the most fluctuation when they need to play with water levels. I did talk to them and think they are going to be playing with level this week up our way. Either way I was out of water at my dock 2 weeks ago. Need to start looking into 40-50 ft extensions to get water for all season.

Tell them to STOP PLAYING! :D

I was alarmed to hear that they were lowering it this week, why not wait just a few more weeks?

I didn't hear it from the source, but I was told by a few marina owners in A-bay that they were warned this was the week to drop another 11"

haha....Like I said there is a LOT of factors that go into this stuff Snow/rain/power needs/ecological factors/upstream/downstream etc. Trust me if I could get another 2-4ft of water levels all summer through killer x-mas presents I woulda been doing that years ago!

I was out on Friday in Toronto harbor, and at this rate if the water lowers any more the boat I work on is going to be stuck in the marina. It draws 5 feet, and there are only a few inches below it in the channel. Should be interesting in the next couple weeks.
