Traverse City mechanic

Anyone have a reputable mechanic in Traverse City ? Have a problems I don't have the time to resolve and I'd like fixed prior to winterizing.

I've been having all of my work, and storage, handled by Boathouse Storage up in Elk Rapids. They maintained my Baja for years and now they care for the Formula.

The mechanic there, Andy, will fix what needs to be fixed and will not screw you by doing things that do not need doing. They have a huge, dedicated maintenance barn and can handle pretty much anything that needs to be handled.

Come on down and see Lenny. He just spiffed up the Formula for me.

Talked with Andy and he's busy for remainder of season and again when they reopen in the spring.
He sounded good and did suggest a couple things to check.

I like Dewitt Marine on Clam Lake. Good staff. Chris is the service mgr.

Yeah, they get into a crunch in the spring and fall.

Mine is actually done, but I figured I'd go for the humor! It ended up being a shift cable that failed leaving the port drive stuck in reverse.

I live about an hour from TC but I have and will keep taking my boat to American custom marine. They are located just south of Port Huron. They know what they are doing. Honest. Communicate well and charge a fiar price. With all the BS I have been through the qualities I listed above are HUGE! Call Mike and at least talk to him.

Talked with John's and they seem to understand what to troubleshoot and correct but like everyone else they're busy shrink wrapping and winterizing. Made an appointment to bring them the boat in early April before they get busy with spring commissioning. Boats home in the driveway getting winterized and going into the storage building next week for the long sleep.

The iceboat prep begins soon.
