Dockage at kellys and the bay

We keep our boat at skipper buds in east harbor, I guess the water is like 3 ft lower now than in september. I heard the sw corner of east harbor is just a little creek. What do you guys think dockage at the Casino, port side and over at the bay is going to be like? In January skipper buds told us they were dredging the marina to ten feet but as of last week were still waiting on two permits also a Chanel is being dredged through East Harbor they said.

snopro13 02-27-2013 06:46 PM

I don't think the water is 3 foot lower then it was in Sept. The only time I think it might be a problem is with a strong west wind.

i dock at cedar point and in october we still had 6 to 7 ft of water i think out in the open lake like the bay and kelleys we will be ok. im just going to say in the markers more then i have in the past. no more short cutting with the low water.

Sound like more trips to Cumberland this year than Erie. Cumberland lake levels are returning to 705' for spring.

ASide from a few spots it will be fine, just know the waters and low spots....

I am in West Harbor so I dont worry... but there is low spots at thr Casino, a rock in center...but it's normally fine

1989mach1 03-03-2013 04:04 PM

we will be good i just know it

bigboat28 03-04-2013 10:29 AM

Yea I know so too and hope so too....lol Don't want to go to that flat water over sized pond where the people go that don't like waves.rotflmao Steve just messing with you. Don't get me wrong it is fun there but only so fun plus it is so smooth, makes my slow boat feel even slower lol. Can't wait on the early bird.

Full Force 03-04-2013 11:50 AM

Why milled?

1989mach1 03-04-2013 09:02 PM

to make share they r straight and true i ges and to clean them up. i believe thats what they where saying. i could be wrong. they r also going to do a vac test on the valves to make shire they r seeding good

I see... cleanup mill then most likely, not much... just wondered...

1989mach1 03-04-2013 09:11 PM

the leak down on that motor was 5 to 15 % all around so i am hoping i can get away with just doing springs and gaskets and not a total top end r&r its getting to be a bit much. but the head gaskets where bad on the other one so i am assuming they r on both

Full Force 03-04-2013 09:12 PM

head gaskets dont really just "go bad" ....

1989mach1 03-04-2013 09:22 PM

when i was talking to people about hours when to do top ends they said 300 to 350 on springs and that the head gaskets where known to be bad to

1989mach1 03-04-2013 09:35 PM

eather way so much to do when i get it back and such little time.
