Leland Township Harbor
 

Anybody been there? Have a wedding close by and thinking of trailering the boat over. Anything worth seeing or going to by boat?

We went there last Thursday, 8/1/13, on a day trip from Elk Rapids. The harbor has been redone in the last couple of years. The staff was great and the facilities were clean and new.

The Manitou Islands are just offshore. South Manitou has a great crescent shaped bay that is a nice anchor spot for lounging, etc. Northport, Suttons Bay and Elk Rapids would be easy runs in your Vyper.

If you make it to Suttons Bay go to the Ice Cream shop on the south end of the town (there is one on the north end, but I like the one at the south). The Cherry Amaretto ice cream is without equal!

The Manitou Islands and the Sleeping Bear Dunes are a MUST! Can't believe you even had to ask! Who would miss out on a day of boating in the most beautiful place in the world!

You can also drop in on West Bay and run with us out of Traverse City anywhere you want!

There is a nice ship wreck you can check out on South Manitou (south side of the island) and Sleeping Bear dunes are awsome.
