You know it's been a long winter when the freighter Arthur M. Anderson gets stuck in the Lake Erie ice 1 mile from it's destination Ashtabula Ohio for many days only having to abort it's run & return to Detroit. When was the last time you have seen a Coast guard helicopter land on the lake ice & the crew walk over to the cutter? This pic of the Coast Guard cutter Bristol Bay in the ice field outside Ashtabula, Ohio. The cutter has encountered ice 8 to 10 feet in Lake Erie and brash ice, which is the jagged landscape, 5 to 6 feet thick & could not enter the harbor.

Are you in CP Marina? What are the rates over there for rack storage? I still like Venetian, just curious.

Also, boat looks like a 50'er from the bow!

yes I am at cp but no rack there I wish there was. the rates r good and there is a lot included with the dock. we love it there and wont go any where else.

As far as I know, there are only two marinas in that area that will rack larger boats...Venetian, which was sold out when I checked two months ago and Skipper Buds, where I got the second last available rack.

I have engines, just not as big as I would like. LOL
