For all the high end machinery, everything appears tied correct, lots of beach towels on sun lounges and very few shoes.
When I had my first cruiser docked at Bay Point, my next door neighbor there went to the Casino every Saturday night. This was 20 yrs ago and was same story then.
I went w/them once and the dock hands new everybody and vice versa. He always had a dock and they were always waiting for him.

It is still that way today. The regulars never get turned away thanks to the grate dock hands and tedd the manager. It's kinda funny if u look down from the bar at the main finger on the front wall u will see a pile of flip flops on the dock. Everyone knows the rules and cares about others boats.

I stopped taking my boats to the Bay due to drunks w/no clue.
A crowded harbor can be fun when you know everyone knows their ****.
One 4th of July we were checking on a dock for my 1st 32' Marinette at Port Side and the teen age dock boy said the had a spot all the way in front on the first pier.
The place was jammed, I'm up on the fly bridge and I couldn't even see where he was describing.
I told the smart teenager , I didn't think it'd fit. He told me to pick him up and he'd put it in for me!
I told him to get out of my way

I don't go to the bay for that reason as well. I feel I can't leave my boat have have to babysit the boat and the drunks. At the casino the boat is good and the person that is tworth drunk gets a life vest problem fixed. And you would be amazed on how many boats fit at the casino.

Thanks Guys....I knew I would get the right answers on this forum. I will talk it over with the boss and maybe we will try the Seaway. If you see us there say hi ..29ft Powerquest boat name is Rattle & Hum . We keep the cruiser in the Thousand Island and know that area well we do a great trip down river thru the Seaway to Montreal every other year. Spend most of our time on the US side Abay, Clayton area and the marina`s we hang out in all have pools and hot tubs, hence the question about pools. If you guys ever want info on that area just post on the 1000 Island Thread that was started by Duramax 315 some one will gladly reply ......Hope the warm weather comes soon ....Mike

MikeO, There is a gorgeous beach for anchoring off on the north end of the island.
We are in very early planning stages of a 2 wk trip towards Georgian Bay/North Channel.
At this point the planets still have to align
Been there many times as a kid on the folks cruiser but when your writing the check it's a bit different

Thanks for the tip on the beach, we will check it for sure. I have been up to Tobermory and have boated thru most of Georgian Bay.Georgian Bay is easy for me either trailer toHoney Harbour or go thru the Trent Severn fromLake Simcoe which is 20 minutes from my house. .... Once we leave Kelly`s Island on the 6th of July we will load the boat in Leamington and head to Sarina for a Poker Run on July 9th. Sarnia Bay marina is the host location its Great Marina and it has a pool . second year for this charity run open to all boats you don't need a 500K rocket to participate. Last year is was the same weekend as the International Power boat Festval this year it has it own weekend. would be great to see some of you Ohio boys come up the river to Sarnia for that weekend ...
