Default Performance Deckboat Opinions for Lake Michigan

All,

I have a 28' Shockwave Deckboat, will be doing mostly family cruising out of Winthrop Harbor Illinois, the boat is fully loaded, vessel view, porta potty, the works, 525 EFI. New to the formus high performance boat fantatic relocated from Corona, California. I have had it out twice this year on calm days, but just looking for opinions. This boat has handled rough days on Lake Mead and Havasu without fail, wife and I are considering making the switch to a V-Hull to accomodate the big water. I grew up in Chicago but have spent the last 10 years of my life in Corona, California.
