Beach wise Caseville is one of the nicest. Could also run to the charities and back to boaters beach and raft there. May need to have a couple of options depending on the wind. The July 18th seems like a safer date with warmer air and the water temp.

I agree Caseville, Tawas, Point Lookout all have nicer water and beaches vs anything in the inner bay. With water levels coming back the beach on Charity might be an option also.

Maybe a thought if it's the weekend after Boyne Thunder maybe there is a place for us Bt boats to leave our boats in bay city instead of hauling all the way back to detroit area.

Bill63 that is a great idea. I know the owner of Bay Harbor Marina in Bay City and will talk to him to see if he can accommodate our needs. He has several storage units that can hold a lot of boats. They also do a great cook out quite often and see if he could put one on that weekend.

I'd love to participate in a fun run on the Saginaw Bay, I'll be following this thread for dates.

How about July 16-18 which is the weekend after Boyne? Bill63 had a great idea for those heading south to leave their boats in Bay City so they didn't have to haul them all the way home. If those dates work, I will talk to Bay Harbor to see if we can have those boats stored there and see if we can have them put on a cookout either Friday or Saturday. Give me your thoughts.

I'd like to run the boats hard. Charity Island Light would be cool if someone knows the safe way in. East Tawas is cool too and has a gas dock. Or just a grand tour of Saginaw Bay and it's best harbors.

That weekend works for quite a few I have talked to. Let's make it happen, I am still willing to help set things up or whatever needs done just let me know.

I have a call into bay harbor about keeping boats there and also for slips together for the weekend. I will keep you posted. Another option would be to run to Tawas Friday afternoon and stay there overnight. Then head to caseville and charities on Saturday and back to bay harbor Saturday evening. Maybe a ride up the river to midland street. Just a suggestion.
