Michigan lakes large enough for 38'
Just trying to find out what lakes are large enough for a 38' Scarab. Obviously the big lakes. Torch, and hardy are the only ones I can think of.. any other suggestions?

I defiantly wouldn't consider houghton. I've seen some big boats at torch lake on the 4th of july. I was wondering if there was a different launch? No way you could get in at the one by the store.

Charlevoix, st Clair, Huron are all awesome. I have a 38 fountain lighting, now. We run st Clair 5+ days a week.

But I would skip on both Houghton and Torch. Houghton becasue its a very shallow and muddy lake. Torch due to difficluty in launching. Lake Charlevoix, Burt and Mullet are all good lakes to consider going to.
My grandparents owned a place on mullet. Sold it, they used to own the pinehurst back in the 70's. |
I got a wake ticket from a "yer deputized" college student on Indian River a couple years ago. They have 2 or 3 water patrol officers on the river and Mullet and Burt lakes. I have seen them every time I have gone there.

Other than St. Clair and the Greats, stick with Torch and Charlevoix.
