Boyne thunder speeds?
 

I've always been interested in going up there and doing the run. But I would like to know what is the average speeds of the boats out there. I hate to get out there in my little formula and just be in the way of everybody. I do not have a 70 miles per hour plus boat

Not only did I have a blast last year, I won... And I maxed out at 60 wfo last year..

All different speeds, 4 different speed groups at a staggered start. I ran 70 - 80 last year. Also, I won 3rd.

I run a 39 Nortech cc it runs 69 mph and we are always near the front. Bring it !!!

People run all speeds!! U can run it 2 the wall or loaf & enjoy the gorgeous waters!! Like Phrag, who won last year!! U don't have 2 run the whole course if U don't want!! Doesn't matter how fast or fancy U R!! U can win!! Come & enjoy!! Tracy

Boyne is a great run don't be intimidated by speed. Great question though.

Like everyone else has said - speed is not a big deal! I'm one of the smaller boats and ran 55 to 75 (mostly upper 60s), and stayed with the group just fine!

I apogize for my ignorance. How exactly does a poker run work.

You find 110 boaters who are willing to come together to raise money for kids with cancer. You pick a quiet little town in northern Michigan with awesome waters. You have a kick ass street party with boats and hot rods. Then you get a few hours of sleep then head out of marina to 5 stops to pick up a card at each stop. Then you turn in your cards after a great day of boating, then get everyone together for dinner and drinks and open up all the card hands.
