Ok..who is hitting the water this weekend?

Not me, found a drive lube flex hose leaking in the driveway. Plus I have to work. If anything I'll probably fool around sunday local.

I'm finishing a Quality Management System audit (medical device) right now and I can feel the key turning in the ignition and the wind blowing thru my scalp (I'm almost bald)

As of now, going for a shakedown run on Sunday.

Looks like I will be riding with a buddy across Erie from Port Clinton to Gibraltar in his newly purchased Formula 31PC Saturday. I plan to be out on the Detroit River Sunday in the Concept.

Ill be on Cass lake Sunday... going to start her up in the driveway tonight for the first time this year. Seriously cant wait!

Wish I was, drives and transom still aren't done. Looks like a great first weekend for May.

I will be going out of toledo on sunday no destination.

I'll be heading into the Saginaw Bay Sunday. First time out on new ride.

Dropped into muskegon lake and hit the big water through the channel.I let old girl stretch her legs on about 1 foot top of water. The speedometer indicated 70 miles per hour but GPS indicated 67. That's not too bad from a 330 horsepower 7.4 liter Twin engine. I think she's a keeper

I always wish I could be on Lake Michigan - but I was at our summer place today - and really let'er rip!!! No one was out there and we were able to blow any carbon off-- IT WAS GREAT Boat/engine ran wonderful!!

Hope the entire season is like this for everyone!!

Ran about 2 hours on 502 yesterday. She ran great! Had about a cup of water in bilge afterward. For some reason that bother's me. Does that freak anyone else out?

YES-- but I'm very anal retentive. A cup of water isn't much. HOWEVER--

Water has got to come from somewhere and regardless should be investigated. Since this was the start of the season for us - it could be something as simple as leftover water from cleaning the bilge. Most likely it could have been an engine drain plug that wasn't too tight and just dripped.

Don't want to say the sky is falling!!

Saturday 2 mIles out off muskegon.

As planned, I rode back in my buddies new (well 2008) Formula 31PC from Port Clinton to Gibraltar, with a stop off at PIB for a late lunch. I am not a Cabin Cruiser type guy, but if I was, it would be a Formula. That thing is a beauty. With twin 496 mags, she topped out at 49MPH. I'm sure she has a little more in her, my buddy wasn't used to running that fast... His previous boat was a Maxum 30 with twin 5.0s, top speed of 29....

Got out on the Concept late Sunday afternoon for a run up the River to Sinbads. It was windy and a bit rough.. On way home, my rear bench seat flipped up and then blew out. Didn't realize it until we got back to the marina... So we turned back around and headed back on our original path. Figured it was a long shot. We got lucky and found it floating, up against the shore, North of the Belle isle Bridge... So then came the task of retrieving it, it was windy and the current is pretty strong, and it was resting up in some rocks.. I managed to get the bow to overhang the rocks (without hitting anything) so the wife could drag the seat off the rocks with the hook. The seat probably still needs to be recovered, because it is pretty scuffed up from resting on the rocks... But that still beats having to have a shop try and make the entire thing from scratch. Gonna have to get better Velcro to attach that damn thing!

67-70 ish I wasn't really looking at the gps to see how fast we were going focused on driving / wakes

That's great. I know the feeling. Most of my speed runs are alone because she gets skiddish around 45-50. I know yesterday I went out for a quick trip and was knocking on the backdoor of 70. I'd have like to had a video from another boat. Lol, had to be some good air in there. I gotta get a suction cup mount for my go pro I got for Xmas.
