The sad part is the officer never asked to see life jackets, registration or anything. I can see pulling over a boat that had sevevn people in it, but to not ask a single safety question and give a guesstimated sound warning is out of line.

I think this same jackwad pulled me over last year at hot boat. I was just downriver of the sand bar ( headed down river ) when he pulled me over for going too close to another boat on plane. The other boat was in the center of the river just south of the sand bar just before you go around the corner. The other boat was in the middle of the river and if you know the river then you know that the channel is on the other side of the river. Needless to say I had to be closer than the legal 100 ft away from the other boat. ( about 30 ft actual )
I was barely on plane ( 25 MPH ) and stayed at that speed until pulled over. Guy says to me " what's the hurry" - never asks for anything, just starts jumping all over me. I didn't put up with his crap. What I should have asked is if the other sheriff was pulling over the other boat. ( there were two sheriff boats) I asked him how long he had had this job since I had never seen him up there before. And that I normally didn't get harassed because I didn't drink or drive like an idiot or cause problems. I have had a real good relationship with the sheriff patrol in the past.

All in the name of public safety...what a joke
