Best swimming spots

Where are the best swimming spots near Grosse Ile? Looking for clean water/sandy bottom... Best spot I've found so far has been the banana dike. A short distance south of Grosse Ile into Lake Erie- waist deep fairly clean water, sandy bottom.

I would think the water is a little cold for swimming this time of year.

Was going to say the same. This time of year is a friends indoor pool with water kept at 90°.
