Default Transient dockage with 40" v 37"

We want to upsize from our 330SS to either a 370SS or 400SS. We have very little problem getting slips for our 330 when we motor into a marina. Will it become more difficult with the 370 and even more so with the 400? I want the 400 but she is worried about limiting our ability to find transient dockage as we cruise about the northern Lake Michigan / Northern Lake Huron region.

SO, the question... will a 40 footer be more difficult to find mooring for the night ? We'd love to hear experiences from others in this region.

Cheers!
