Default Traverse City

The Mrs. just informed me we're meeting 2 other couples for "the wine thing" up in TC this weekend.

We've done it before, had great times each time, and I always manage to hit TC Whiskey as well so I'm certainly not complaining.

So here's the deal...we've done Boone's to death. We've done the insane asylum & while very cool the food really isn't our bag.

Where do you get a great steak and whiskey in TC? ....And the girls are gonna want seafood and wine ? AND we've already been enlightened that we aren't doing dinner "at the brewery. Again." lol

We've already got breakfast covered at Bubbas but where do we go for a great meal in TC ?

Any thoughts are appreciated

d

Boathouse is very nice and expensive but a drive if the weather is bad.
Slate is a very good place for steak.https://website-12919585680177883083....site/#summary
Harringtons is good.
If you want a surprise try Modes Bum Steer - Steak, Seafood, Ribs 1975 | Traverse City MI

Thanks All

We ended up at Slate as none of us really wanted to deal with the drive to the Boat House.

There were 6 of us and all of us had a great meal; we'll definitely be back.

FYI - for anyone wanting breakfast, we found a place called "The Towne Plaza" and we were absolutely blown away. It was fantastic & has to be experienced to be believed. I had some sort of fried chicken deal over a potato pie with sauce and a poached egg on top. Incredible.

Next time in town try Bistro FouFou for happy hour and appetizers.
White on Rice for Sushi, not fancy interior but very good.
Our go to is Red Ginger for consistent food and service.
Poppycock is very good also.
