There's No Switch Just Ball Valves On TaNks Do They Just Run 1 Dry Then Start Drawing From Second Tank?

Mine has no ball valves...my pump T's to both tanks with same length fuel line and the return is the same way...it pretty much pulls from both tanks equally.
