Cut Back Strakes Sling Shot 388
 

Here are shots of the reduced length strakes on the Miami boat show boat.

Before everybody with a 388 start cutting the strakes, you should know that this is not possible on all modell years!

We just posted the pictures for Strip Poker 388 because he could not make it to the Miami boat show. No one should touch the bottom of their Sling Shot without talking to the factory! As quoted here all bottoms cannot be modified like the newer hulls!

Thats showing the second strake some of it missing.Joe told me that they were playing with how much on 388's over 100the other is the rear strake mod,Looks ruff,I guess there still playing with it?Looks like a pick of 2 different boats???


I like how they did the water pick ups, but it looks to aggressive to me, looks like it would grab to much water creating drag.


Like Joe at Hustler told me that I shouldnt modify my bottom , that doing it would weaken the stringers in that area, Ive heard some people resuporting it on the inside and it helping,but one boat was in the upper 800hp the other was almost a 1000, still only getting up to 108mph.

they must of just cut the last say 12 inches of the last to strakes off?
