The 388 is for stock power and running 90. The 39 is for those that want to do more. I dont think it should hurt the 388's at all.

388 is still the best low horse power, high speed 38' on the market. So shouldnt hurt her at all.

The 39 was built to start where the 388 leaves off and that is the 100 mph+ market.
