What to expect?

Out of a 377 talon with 530hp aluminum small blocks turning 7200rpm's with 6's.
PR set up.
Just wondering what kind of speed it would see.And how the boat would handle with the azz end being lite.

I would thick a small block boat would have no low end TQ,Hard getting on plane etc.

530 is kinda low HP for all alumium SBC motor and 7200,must be a 350ci,small headsa and around 9.5cr?

The 377s are great riding boats until you hit real big water.
She would probably handle better as she may fly level when leaving the water or hitting large wakes ,they tend to launch bow high . They are pretty heavy boats even with small blocks and with 11% slip on a good day I would guess she may tap the high 90 mph mark.
Good luck!

Motors actually make 620 HP 695T but will be detuned if the project goes thru. Not sure what the exact torque #'s will be after detuning.

Boat would be built with a very lite lay up.

377 w/575

Spoke to Henri from Performance Marine Specialties and the Talon with 575's ran 110 to 112 mph. Should give you a close idea of possible speeds. I'lll have Henri give you a call tomorrow he has tuned up more talons than anyone.

John

Is that 110mph with #6s or with Bravos?
