I've seen a few out there with duals & triple egg-beaters. But, sorry I don't have info on set-ups.

Thanks Bigdaddy,my question will be about spacing the motors,it had triple merc 260s now its going to have twin 300's but I can only get them 28inches apart center to center because of bulk heads in the bracket, which i'm not found of replacing if I could avoid,I believe I will just loose A little speed, still closer than inboards thou .what do you think?oh yeah the motors are on 12inch offset and boat was originally built for outboards 1 of3or 4 I think

How do you guys like the ride of the 32 in rough water and how fast is it with I/O power?
|
It handles the water fine, when it kicks up. The traditional deep V-hull, and the high freeboard provide a good platform.
The speed of the 32 varies widely depending how it was rigged. They were available with power as mild as 454's with Bravo's to800 Sc's with SSM 6's, as well as custom HP @122 MPH, all from Hustler. As such, there are some triple digit 32's out there with big HP. On the tamer side, Hot Boat tested a 32 with 470HP 502 EFI's running 1:48 Volvo Duoprops, spinning 3 blade, and it ran 86.0 on radar. |
Is it normal for these boats to crack above the rubrail around the engine compartment? Do these boats have any problems?

It is a 92 in Pa. it is red and he said that it is cracked right above the rub rail in front of the engine copartment on both sides I think.

Is that the one with the black stripe?
In that area you describe, I can't see where it would be structural. If it's above the rub rail, than that would be part of the deck mold. I wouldn't expect it to be a major repair in that area. If that boat is actual red gelcoat, the worse part would be trying to color match to possible sun faded red. You would need to eye ball it to see if there is anything below the rub rail that would be the hull mold. |
