Slingshot VS. Fiore

What are the biggest differences between these.... there is a nice looking 40' Fiore for sale...

Which is considered "better", and why??

Thanks

They are 2 differnt boats...it all depends on the boating your looking to do.

Thanks.:ernaehrung004:

The 40 Fiore has a very tall cabin (6'5") where the 388 is very low (5'5"????). We liked our old 40 a lot!!

Boomer 880 01-16-2009 01:58 PM

Oh yeah, the 40 Fiore is a true 40' boat, whereas the 388 includes a swim platform.

You might want to consider the 40' Fiore as an express cruiser on steriods. It's hard to even compare the boats. Many of the 40's were rigged with triple engines. The Slingshot, as mentioned above, is a much lower profile boat. If you're looking for cabin space, the Fiore is the natural choice. If you're a day boat guy who wants a twin engine rocket - the Slingshot's probably more suited for you. They both are great handling boats.

Very different boats. The 40 has a monster cabin with a lot of headroom. This is a big ride. Ideal for a weekender & overnighting. Hustler's 1st boat with steps.

The Slingshot is more performance oriented. Sleeker design, smaller & lower profile cabin. This hull had a lot of time put into refining the steps. This is a faster hull than the 40 with the same power.

It's like comparing an M3 to a 750, or STS to XLR. Either way, two very nice rides.

Very interesting guys...thanks for all your inputs!!!

i ALWAYS LOVED THE 40 !

the ride , style and handling

always rode on a triple engined boat and was hooked from day one
single step , no hook issues
planed without bow rise

that's what made me want and get a Hustler and would love to have one now
of what's out there I'd build a new one !
TRIPLE 850'S OR MAYBE 1075'S
WHAT DO YOU THINK ?
IT WOULD BE A MONSTER

IT'S STILL MY FAVORITE

Ah , Paging Mr. Cunningham .... What Do You Think ?

You Think Joe Would Go For It ?

Whats the question?

a 41 Razor with Triple 850's? That would a great running boat. Tony in chicago originally had that power in his , ran around 115+ mph. I would think a triple 700 boat would be much more dependable though and still get you incredible speeds.

I Told Lodi I Wanted One With Either Of Those Powerplants
Then I Said Ah ...why Not 1075's

Seen That One Before ...

I always like the paint on that 40. "The Grand Illusion" out of Minnesota. Had blown triples power.

I have been on the Hustler 40 Fiore in the classifieds.

Great ride in rough water.

High freeboard and large cockpit.

Huge cabin and bath area.
