Any Slingshot's out there with Ilmor's in 'em/what is the fastest 388 out there?

hi,

there are at least three of them built. All with Ilmor 625s and Arnesons. One in Martinique, one in Spain and my boat in Germany. They run 96 to 98mp/h depending on conditions.

PS: And there was one at LCM with Ilmor 550s

Lake Cumberland Marine has an 05 with Ilmor's, very nice looking boat in person, believe they said it would do 93-95 all day

The original black cloud was the fastest. Ran 142+ mph. I think that boat is still a 125+ mph boat, Sean Higgins has fastest one running around the Poker Runs scene with 111mph Slingshot.

Thanks Ben its going to be the same paint,Hind site I would of started with a hole new paint job,but everything will look and be new.I betting its going to slow down, the bottom is slick,not a single scratch,chip.its better than new.Prob going to be sticky,rob:drink:

I picked it up tonight,its gutted, with out any weight,engine,transom asy, drive interior, its bad tongue heavy.

I'll bet it is tongue heavy, sounds like you've got you hands full. What a great project. Keep us posted.

the last 6mph are hard to get! Up to there they run pretty straight!

This one. 525's with Whipples and ASD6's. Runs a bit faster than 111. :D

700.... He got 406 hrs on the motors before he had a valve problem and he was running 113 with that many HARD hours on it.

Come over to the dark side. You'll never look back or worry about ourdrives again.:D

Yea, Sean's boat rides like it is on rails. He has it dialed in perfectly. Yes he has seen 113+ with the boat, but 111 all day long. Went down about a month ago, we made a run down to philly on the river for lunch. Boat is setup perfect.

525's with whipple chargers and of course Arnesons. Hard to get a bravo to go over 100, Not sure if its the drive or the props.

What top speed would SpeedMasters and that hull comfortably provide???

Rik, what does Tim Fruend have in his all white 388? I know its got ASD's on it.

Originally.. He had a set of the Crate Motor GM 572's with Vortec Chargers. Now?

I have a 2005 with ilmores and arneson drives has less than 21 hours on it. I bought it from Randy @ lake cumberland marine you guys may have seen it it has the flames on it. i would be like to sell it.

it also has never been titled so the warranty is still intact
