Thank you Envision.
They are going in the boat at 1100 hp. We played with some different pulleys and different octanes on the dyno. We were using dyno headers but had all of the accessories running. We did as much as we could with the time that we had. We ran out of time and pulleys to do any further playing, but they made 1043 hp on 87 octane, 1102 on 89 octane and 1188 hp on 91 octane. We didn't even run them on 93 since we didn't have any smaller blower pulleys. The 87 octane was with just over 5 psi, 1102 hp at 7.4 psi and the 1188 at 9.5 psi. We'll start with them at 1100 hp and see how the boat does. If it can take more and the customer wants more, then it's just a pulley change away. Eddie |

Me too. It's a very fast hull so it should scream with this power. The boat is running in the 120's with turned up Merc 700's. Can't wait.

From Joe, the owner of Hustler. From what I gather, the boat has turned up Merc 700's (Whipple's kit, approx. 820 hp) and has run approx 122-123 mph. I believe he said it has run 117 ish with stock 700's. I may be off a mph or 2 on my numbers since I'm going from memory.....and it's not what it used to be.:lolhit:
Eddie that boat is a beast - canīt wait for the numbers with the 1100 horse. keep us informed please. |

Eddie You are pretty close, we get about 113 to 114mph with both the Ilmor 725 and the Mercury 700's. As far as the tuned-up Mercury 700's, we heard from our dealer, Rolf Papke from ProRoc that after he installed the Whipple Upgrade on the motors that the boat went between 120 to 122 mph.
