26' Hustler
 

Does anyone know anything about the 26' Hustler? I know it has been around for a while, at least (10 years). Has anyone ever ridden on one or known someone who owned a 26'?

i used to have one. I had a lot of fun with it. It did have handeling issues at different speeds,but was stable a high speed. I had twin 400 hp 383`s with bravo drives. it porpoised at cruising speed and went through some chine walking over 70 mph. I never got mine much past 80 mph. I think its a better handeling boat with a single, but i never drove one.

Hustler 26, ( or anyone else who konws)

What speed does a 26' Hustler run with a 454 Mag with an extention box. Any idea on how much a 2000 is worth, not many around to compare prices. Any idea on how much a new one runs. Does the hull have a pad or notched transom. The picture I saw looks like it's a straight v botton. There is a really nice looking 26 at National Marine. Im' just curious about these boats.

Are the boats built any differntly since Paul Fiori (SP?) left. When exactly did he leave?

Check Boat Trader online. There is a '97 Hustler 26 with 500HP on a Myco trailer for 58K. Listed by Shoreline Boat Sales & Service at Lake George, 518-668-3297. Except for Slingshots, there's never a lot of Hustlers on the market for price comparison.

32storm I saw that one listed, seems kind of high to me compared to other similar sized boats with the same power. They are asking $75,000 :rolleyes: :rolleyes: for the one at National, but they'll accept offers. I wonder how much they cost new?

Hi KN. Sorry for the late reply. The 26 has a straight V-bottom( no steps) and a vented notched transom. My 26 with a 454 Mag ran around 62-62 mph. I'm not sure how fast it would be with an extension box.
I saw a 26 at the Miami Boat Show last year. It was just like mine except it had a windshield. Mine has a race fairing.
I bought mine with a 454 Mag for around 55. It was in excellant shape.
