2 Rockits in Classifieds

What are people's thoughts on these 2 boats generally speaking?

What is the ride difference between the NXT and #6?

Same "listing" price but one is 2 years newer with much bigger power,,thoughts on why?

Any info is welcomed.

The one with 1100's is one of my best friends. It is a beast. I mean a damn nice boat. You won't find a better riding all around running boat. Not to mention fast as H E L L. If I was looking at that size boat, It would not even be a decision to make between NXT's and #6's. Plus Wilson did the lowers on the 6 boat. They are a work of art. Someone is going to get one hell of a boat for the money. Actually scratch that previous comment. Someone is going to get one hell of a nice boat when they buy that one and I don't care how much money you spend or what you compare it to in a V bottom.

I was really impressed by the 39 they had in Miami. I looked that thing over for about a half hour. They said the 39 rocket was built for rough water and really fast too. They said 115 with 700's, so the one in the classifieds with big power would be scary fast I'd say.

Mean streak was the boat that ran over 130 when Eddie was tuning it and caused quite a stir leading to a 40 page thread. You can search it, "hustler rockit tops 130"

thunderusone 03-07-2015 10:48 AM

That boat is fast as hell. I've been right beside him several times when we both clamped down on 2,200hp each. Made me have to do work just to get some good eye to eye to time with both of us yelling "You a Bad Mofo" back and forth at each other going so fast we couldn't see....

Me with 4 whipples running like ambulance sirens.....trying to keep up with 2 whipples in that Rockit.

CAFE 03-07-2015 12:12 PM

So... Who's faster ???
Speeds ??

drpete3 03-07-2015 01:23 PM

Easy. Buy em both. All kidding aside. I like em both

82predictor 03-07-2015 01:37 PM

What's he building next? That is an awesome boat!

thunderusone 03-07-2015 02:37 PM

Only thing I can do is hope for boat traffic....turns and jacked up water conditions to keep him out of the top end. I can hold my own up to 120ish. After that it's good night Irene for me. It hasn't happened because conditions were limiting. But there is no question it will do it. There are very few V's that will run with it. It cuts through rough water unbelievably. Watched it side by side hitting big rollers. Same roller...same speed...same angle...my props unloaded and his didn't. Cruising effortlessly beside me not working the motors as hard as mine. That hull is serious in the Rockit.

Buy it Keith

Every Hustler named meanstreak was his. He has had 4 of them with that name.

baja27 03-10-2015 07:37 AM

The cockpit is tight on them.

Have you ridden in one? I went out on the diesel Rockit in Miami 2 years ago. I really liked the feel. Granted it was prob only a 20 min ride

There is another 388. Doesn't say it on the side....but on the transom. 2nd owner may have changed it. Can't remember if it was paint, gel or vinyl. Lotta fuel has been burned since then... :D

I have the 2003 Mean Streak and love it. I have seen pics of the 2005 on here and it looks great. What year was the other mean streak???

What was the top speed on the rockit once he got it dialed in? How does it handle at 130+? Checked out the rockit at last years Miami boat show and fell in love. Awesome boat! Would love to have a rockit or a slingshot reloaded with the rockit bottom with some healthy power!

Has anyone put big power in one of the reloaded 388's yet? Does it handle higher speeds like the rock it (its the same bottom right)?

SLOWBOATER 04-14-2015 07:48 PM

I would say the stock power would be more reliable and nxts will handle 700 easy
yes if you go 1100 you wants no. six drives ,but do the no 6 drives have a transmission and neatural

customryder 04-14-2015 08:07 PM

I would go with the Mercury Powered boat. That is a no brainier. Much better resale. I can honestly say the 700 boat is pristine, it don't get any cleaner. also it was taken to the next level when built, as the owner was their when it was being built. I have seen this boat and it is absolutely beautiful!

Couldn't agree more! The boat is in excellent condition and has been cared for meticulously, it has a head as well.
