Re: Up Date Your 388 Hustler
The flush latches I've been using from BoatUS are made by Teak Isle Mfg Inc.,401 Capitol Court, Ocoee,Fla. They claim to supply 200 boatbuilders worldwide. As I said in an earlier post, they also sell key locking flush latches. P/N 29201 as an example fits panels 1/2 to 3/4" thick and is one number I've been using. For what it's worth...

The new ones come with a different length screw. The panel under the steering wheel took a different length screw also.
When Bill at Hustler was still there in parts, he sold them to me at a fair price . The new price now is double what I paid before :( . They are high :( but they don't break. If we could find out where they git them from it would be about 125% less  Heres a pick of the old and new. Hope this helps yall :D Russ C. |

These are the Southco M1 series. The white are M1-61-1( or -62/-63/-64 depending on panel thickness). The stainless steel are M1-41-8(or -42/43/44: depending on thickness). Their website is Southcofasteners.com.

Here is a pick of the Trim/drive indicator panel . They are the teleflex cables . the one on the tabs people have been having problem with them bending at the tab. Telaflex told me ya need to lubricate [grease] them at the tabs where the rubber boots are .
I don't think we can pull the cable back thru the wiring harness with all the tye raps on them , Cable length is 22ft and 25ft the cable series is a c27r. LMarth ended up with a different name brand .We are still doing research on them to see which is better. I also talked to Fred at Trick marine and he is working on a line of cable thats all stainless.should save some money going thru him also. |

Here is the cable thats bent .I straightened it out some .but its frozen :( I figure might as well do both while the motors are out.
Also a pick of the bundle that its in. Here is a pick of the depth finder puck. When they lay the boat up there is no foam coring here to try to get the sender to read thru the bottom, With a step bottom they tell me once your moving they want read anyway.Mine doese'nt :( On the older boat I am told they put the puck by the drain plug. |

On the Whipples they come with a thru hull pick up for the innercoolers.I asume they will have to go by the drain plug ? I need to mount 2 more sea strainers also :( Have to figure out where?any sugestions Notice the Gill strainers the top plastic have yellowed and stained. Is anybody else like this?? |
