I'm glad the new gig seems to be panning out. Maybe my checkbook and that "possible flatdeck" will meet at a future date. :evilb: |

That's true, but I bet that $1.50 on Jeff Gordon to win the title this year at like 666,666 to 1 so the pressure is on NASCAT to bring home my gold. :party-smiley-004::lolhit:
I'm not going to hijack another thread w/ one of your & my whose the best driver debates!:argue: |
That is an awesome looking boat, one of the best I've seen, those graphics look great, just enough color. Some of these paint jobs today are just to much. That thig looks perfrect. How about some more pictures.

Teaser photo...
Nascat....this is a teaser photo....we were in such a hurry to do final prep on boat, we did not do a photo shoot. Oregon Custom Marine will have detailed photos after this weekend....hopefully some running water shots too! Don't worry we won't leave you hanging!
32 Spectre will be dialed in for the run....looks like there will be some Skater competition to contend wit, should be fun! That one photo is a tease....it does not do the boat justice!!! Tim send in your bio....I am sending mine in this morning...although Teague could probably right his own on me...I am sure he has told you we rolled a boat together once....it brought us closer! LOL. |
Cool good luck at Loto, wish I was going we'd be great competition for one another!
|
Thanks Mike.....yes we would be. Sounds like 'Stainless' may come now, we talked about it last night....the more the merrier....

Nascat, did you wind up going with the 1.5: 1 ratio? Mike flanigan said they're running a 1.39:1 ratio with 16.5x 35 5 blade herrings, and was on the limiter at 137 in the spectre. 725's vs 710's though (I think the 725's are a little more than 725 hp though )
That is correct & I just posted that on my thread, post 110. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...y-upgrade.html I heard the same results from their first time out run which is impressive. I believe they will throw a set of 37's on next both sizes you & I have discussed previously. My Spectre w/ 625's & Teague / Bravo's ran 121mph. I'm figuring the new Spectre has 80+ more H.P. than mine so the rest will be decided by the setup, overall boat / hull design (including weight) & of course who's behind the wheel. Peter has rounded up all those props & more, I believe as many as 8 sets from different manufacturers. My Skater ran 137mph w/ 1.34 IMCO SC's previously so I'm very curious to see whether I lose any, remain the same or gain. Is the Spectre spinning in or out? |
PS- if my boat isn't as fast then I'm defaulting to most views & posts LOL!!!
|
The props that where tested on the new Spectre SC32 are 36 pitch. I will take some more pic's over the weekend.
PS : MIKE LETS NOT GET WET IN LOTO Tim oregoncustommarine.com |

PS : MIKE LETS NOT GET WET IN LOTO Tim oregoncustommarine.com Here's the PM I got from Mike, he states 35's as well. Not disputing just stating what was stated to me! We finally ran the 32 Spectre with Ilmor 725's and Indy Drives. Boat ran great! New drives handled awesome. On a lake here, 97 degrees with extreme high humidity with feel like tempature of 112 degrees, boat ran 137 mph on the rev limiter at (6300 RPM). Props spinning in, 16.5 35P 5 blade Herings with 18 degree rake, 4 people in the boat. We ran out of room on the lake and prop. Boat will easily top 140 mph. That was the very first time to the water, no dial in. :party-smiley-004: |
First of all Cashbar....it was 'just a roll', JBS got in the way. Moral of the story, no one got hurt, Teague and I still finished the race and got our points...rubin's racin!
Tim/OCM...no worries....i don't plan on going swimming. Once was enough for me. The roll was ALL Teagues fault anyways, he didnt slow down! Just kididng. Tim may be right, they are his props, the box was marked 35's and i could not find a size on the prop. The box was marked 16.8 x 35 , 5blade with 18 degree rake???? Props spinning in! Stainless, if you rolled the boat you probably would have gotten see sick....i think i remember you pucking threw the helmet a few times during some races. Hahaha.... |
We are running the 1.39:1 ratio.

I don't believe anyone has run the 1.50's in a cat & then switched to 1.39's they just went 1.39's to start with. Since Ilmor & Skater are a mere 2hrs apart I don't think it's a big deal should the 1.39's be the way to go. My understanding is the 1.50's will allow you to swing more pitch in the range of 37's - 40's whereas 1.39's would swing 35's to 37's. |
I hope your 'outside of the box' thinking works Mike!!! Should be intersting to see...
If it doesn't run i am sure Tim will cut you a deal on the 32 Spectre! |
