Thats wrong.....I had them until recently and it was much less. Of course getting them to pay a claim will cost you about that figure! :drink:

i've had my house, cars and last 2 boats with Allstate. they quoted me $1350 and Bob Lwuellen quoted me $1460 for same coverage. Sy said ACE was high due to age of boat.

Progressive will not insure any boat over 30 ft or any boat for more than 100K in FL. (new policies only). But they did increase coastal navigation in FL to 75 miles offshore to include the Bahamas, previous limit was 50 miles.

ditto. :) and it's a full featured policy. They got out for a couple years, and then realized they were losing multi-policy long-term customers to others for not offering a marine policy. ;) It's good coverage too. I've been with Nationwide for any number of policies since 1990.

2001 Powertquest 280 silencer, 502 MAG MPI
$327/year, $50,000 value, $100,000 liability: State Farm.

Re: no need to try progressive lol

Try State Farm. I just insured my 1995 36' Apache with them with a replacement value of 85k for the boat and trailer. It also has 502 MPI's. I am paying $1125 per/mo. I do however have a couple cars a few houses and several rental properties with them. They also give me a decent break for taking one of those online boating safety certifications.

sounds about right! I got a good deal from Liberty Mutual who I have the house and cars with. They give a 10% discount on multiple policies. :evilb:

I was just reading through here and I realized I made a typo in my previous response. My premium is $1125 Annually, and yes this includes of the spill coverage and stuff

$1125/month or $1125/year? $13,500/year for a $85,000 policy sounds like not-so-good-of-a-deal to me. Guess your insurance guy has a bigger/faster boat than you :D

$7800.00 per year for insurance? I see your agent has a nicer/faster boat than you too :D
