best loan rates?

just checking to see if anyone knows what the current lowest boat loan rates are.. i want to try and find as low as possible, but also looking at length in term, like 10 yrs or so.. im selling my boat, thinking on paying off my truck and using the rest towards the boat and then getting a loan for the rest. not sure if this is smart but its a option.. loan amount kinda depends but i know i dont need more than $50K so thats a factor, any ideas? boat loan people, banks, etc... thanks

I just got 5.75 the day after the market blip a couple of weeks ago on 30 year 50K cash out refinance. Just got to know the right people and have a bit of net worth with liquidity. I had to pay 1/4 of a point for that but it wasn’t bad. There are a lot of lender now looking at net worth and liquidity vs. just credit score. Those lenders will give you a lot lower rates than just credit score lenders. MY .02…

5,75 rate

I got the 5.75 about 17 months ago. Loan was for 20 years on a 4 year old boat

sleek1 03-13-2007 10:29 PM

5.75 is a smokin rate! I've never heard of a boat loan that low. I'll be shopping soon. Would love to get something around that rate. I figured I'd be looking somewhere around 8.9 or so.

Rates

Rates are typically going to be in the high 6% to mid 7% range with good credit and a reasonalbe down payment of at least 10%. They are simple interest, fixed rate with no prepayment penalities.
