Boat lift insurance
I am going to call Mr Goldberg on Monday but do any of you have insurance on a boat lift.My new lift was installed this week and I am wondering if I can get a rider on my policy
|
I was told that they don't ins. hyro hoist's. Did you get a lift or float type ? I have a 2003 hyro hoist for sale 12000 lbs.
|
Its a 13000 lb Quality electric lift on four 30 ft pillings.I love it
has remote control so you can raise and lower it from the boat |
I don't know about NJ, but in Fl. you can't get insurance on any structure that is over water. Neither one of our boat/docks/lifts are insured, except for liabilty.
Good luck, Dean |
Would think it depends on your homeowner policy. I'd check with your insurance agent.

Not only did he answer your call, he turned around and called me to make sure I knew my boat was covered while on the lift, just the lift itself is not covered.
