Boat insurance question

I just insured my boat with allstate, when i got my policy all they listed was the boat and trailer. I gave them the serial numbers to the motor also and we agreed on a replacement value for the motor, but it is not listed on my policy. Is everyone's policy similar to this or does it list the motor and outdrive also?

It depends on the type of policy. If your boat is not considered high performance (not over 500 HP per engine), then it is common not to have the engine serial number listed. If you have a high performance boat, (you shouldn't be with Allstate) the serial number of the engine(s) will be listed.
